About the class
No-Gi – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Without the Gi
Our No-Gi class is open to everyone who wants to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the Gi, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner.
In this class, we cover both fundamental and advanced No-Gi techniques, positions, and concepts. Training is adapted to different skill levels, allowing everyone to develop and improve their grappling skills.
Each session includes a warm-up, technical instruction, drilling, situational sparring, and free sparring. We work on techniques such as takedowns, guard, guard passing, control positions, escapes, and submissions.
What is No-Gi?
No-Gi is a form of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practiced without the traditional Gi (training uniform).
BJJ is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on controlling and overcoming an opponent without punches or kicks.
The objective is to take your opponent from a standing position to the ground, establish control through dominant positions, and apply submission techniques such as joint locks and chokes to make your opponent submit by tapping out.
No-Gi shares many similarities with wrestling and often involves a faster, more dynamic style of grappling, as there is no Gi to grab. This places greater emphasis on body control, positioning, timing, and movement.
The class is open to both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Equipment
We train without a Gi. All you need is a pair of shorts without pockets or zippers and a T-shirt or rashguard.
