Last weekend Arte Suave held Danish Open in BJJ and no-gi in Hillerød. With over 900 registrations and the competition spanning over both Saturday and Sunday, this is the biggest BJJ tournament held in Denmark.
We are very thankful for everyone who spend their weekend helping out, making the competition possible. There’s a lot of work that goes into making these tournaments happen, both on the day and leading up to it, but if those attending have a good experience, and if it helps the jiu-jitsu community at large, it is all worth it. We hope this is case.
Arte Suave had 84 competitors competing both days, in total. The club placed as number 1 academy in no-gi adult category, and number 2 in the gi adult category. A big congratulations to everyone who made it to the podium, and well done to everyone!

Kids training trip to Helsingør

The 25th of May we have arranged the first of many hopefully fun training trips, for our kids and juniors. This time we go to the academy BJJ3000 in Helsingør.
We do this to give our kids training experience with some other training partners, but the main goal is to strengthen the bond among the children in our academy.
If we get enough sign-ups, we will rent a bus to take us there, otherwise we ask you parents to help with transportation.
The plan is to organize more trips with the children in the future to other clubs, as well as competitions.

Lois Glissman at Oktagon MMA

Louis is fighting at Oktagon MMA this Saturday the 4th of May. In Louis’ previous fight he finished his opponent with a rare reverse omoplata. This time he is facing a tough Polish opponent, Łukasz Siwiec.
We will arrange a viewing of Louis’ fight in Arte Suave. Everyone is welcome to join. Bring your own drinks and snacks.

The 11th of May, BJJ Liga will be held here in Arte Suave. The format is round robin, meaning that everyone gets to fight one another in their division, so you are guaranteed a lot of competition experience.
