Arte Suave’s Lions takes gold at Glima – Team Tournament
Last weekend, Gustav Pettersson, Mihail Tashkovski and Tauras Sapiega competed at the jiu-jitsu team tournament “Glima”, in Århus. Each team consists of three grapplers weighing a total team weight of 250 kg. in a “winner stays on” elimination format.
The three of them competed under the team name “Lithuanion Lions” and won in the men and mixed teams blue belt division, with Mihail submitting all of his opponents in the final team match.

Training for all women and girls of Arte Suave
Sunday, 8th of March from 12:00-13:00 we will have a jiu-jitsu training for all girls and women of Arte Suave. The date luckily coincides with the International Women’s Day! Vincent Ringgaard, our main kids instructor, will be facilitating the training. We hope that the event will be a success, and we can make it into a tradition for the future.
Make sure to come by and support the event, and help inspire the young girls and create a supportive network of girls and women in the sport – whether you are completely new or a seasoned competitor.

Graduation 13th of March
Friday, the 13th of March we will have our first belt graduation ceremony of 2026.
Come by to congratulate your teammates on their new stripes or belts, or maybe receive one of your own. Make sure to also stay for the “shark tank” where everyone who got new belts roll for half an hour.
Remember, as always, to register on our app or website as you would for a usual class.

ADCC referee course
Sunday, the 15th of March, Arte Suave will host a course on the ADCC rules. Upon successful completion, participants will receive the C-License Referee certification under ADCC rules.
The course will be taught by Joachim Christensen, who is the ADCC Denmark Head Referee.
The course is open for anyone and it is free.

ADCC Denmark Open 2026 coming up!
There is still time to sign up for ADCC Denmark Open, which Arte Suave is hosting in Grøndals Multicenter the 21st of March. This is a great opportunity to get some qualified competition under the ADCC rule set, so don’t miss out. If you don’t plan on competing, make sure to still show up and cheer on your teammates and watch some nice grappling.
Registration closes 14th of March, so don’t wait up!
