Victory for Arte Suave in Odense

Last weekend we had three fighters at MMA Galla in Odense: Oskar Lang, William Mørck and Rida Jawad.
On the main card Oskar fought a strong Serbian opponent, whom he submitted with a guillotine in round three.
William defeated an experienced German opponent by a point decision, making some good submission attempts and dominating the fight.
Rida won in convincing fashion with a rear naked choke in the first round.

Big congratulations to all of you and well done. And thank you to the whole Arte Suave team and coaches.

Fastelavn in Arte Suave

Last weekend we held a fastelavns party in the performance gym for all the club’s kids. It was a great day for the kids, with barrel breaking, games and candy.
A big thank you to Alberte Scheuer, Lars Roskær and Vincent Ringgaard for facilitating the event and making sure the kids had a blast.

New Mats

As many of you may, (or may not) have noticed we just got new mats at Arte Suave, as the old ones had started to get some holes. Though the previous mats were still functional, we want to keep the place looking clean and sharp. We hope everyone will enjoy and take good care of the new mats!
A big thank you to Bastian Junker and Lars Roskær for helping with putting up the mats.

Kids’ Winter Camp Finished

We just finished another successful winter camp open to children from all clubs.
The camp was also open to kids who had not trained jiu jitsu before, making it a good opportunity for them to try their hand at jiu jitsu.
The kids had a lot of fun, playing games and learning jiu jitsu techniques and got to burn off a lot of energy. We were happy to see so many kids, and look forward to doing it again.
