Last weekends results from DGL

Last weekend we held another successful Danish Grappling League tournament on the premises of Arte Suave.
With over 130 competitors, almost all of our mats were in use the whole day.
We had 27 competitors from our club participating and several podium appearances and gold medals.

Mack signs contract with Oktagon MMA

Last week our fighter Mack Promanee signed his contract with the professional European MMA organization, Oktagon MMA.
If everything goes according to plan Mack will be having his first fight in the promotion in April, alongside our other fighter Louis Glismann.

MMA Galla coming up

This weekend, the 10th of February, we have three fighters on the card at MMA Galla in Odense.
Oscar Lang is on the main card in his 4th professional fight. In the prelims William Mørch is competing in the amateur category and in the early prelims we have Rida Jawad also fighting in an amateur fight.

New Treadmill in the Gym

We’ve acquired a new treadmill in our performance gym, and it boasts several exciting features:

• Similar to a standard treadmill, it can reach speeds of up to 30 km/h, accelerating swiftly. Consequently, children should not use it without adult supervision.

• It’s suitable for sprints (without a motor), allowing you to regulate speed in “parachute mode” using the designated belt. Note that this belt isn’t a safety mechanism to rescue you if your pace lags behind the motor.

• With a resistance range of 10-160 kg, it doubles as a sled for varied workouts.

• Additionally, it can handle inclines of up to 25% and declines of 3%.

If there’s enough interest, we will organize a complimentary workshop to guide you on making the most of the new treadmill.

Fastelavn party in Arte Suave

We are hosting a Fastelavn party in the club on Sunday, February 11th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The event is for all the club’s children as well as the children of members/instructors in the club. We will be breaking the barrel where we will find a cat king and cat queen.

It costs 25 DKK to participate per child. The money will be used to buy the barrel, sweets, etc., for the day. You can purchase a ticket here, via MobilePay at ‘319663’ with your name and ‘Fastelavn’ in the message, or pay in cash on the day.

You can sign up in the schedule where you usually sign up for group training or send an email to support@artesuave.dk.
Please sign up by February 7th, 2024, so we know how much candy to buy! We hope to see as many happy parents and children as possible.
Remember to meet up in costume!

Children’s Winter Camp for All Clubs

After the great success of the previous children/junior camps, we are once again hosting a BJJ CAMP for children and juniors during the winter break in week 7.

Time: 9:30-11:30, on February 12th, 2024
Age: 5-15 years
Location: Arte Suave, Grøndalscenteret, 2400 Copenhagen NV
Bring: Gi or clothes you can move in, water, optional lunch (you can buy lunch in the Grøndalscenteret cafeteria afterwards)

All children and juniors are welcome, regardless of which club you are from. You are also welcome if you haven’t tried Jiu-Jitsu before but would like to try it. We hope to see many of you, both children and juniors, as we all want to see the sport and camaraderie grow. It’s a great way to learn new Jiu-Jitsu techniques from each other and make new friends with the same hobby.
