Results from ADCC Denmark Open
Last weekend Arte Suave had 21 competitors at ADCC Denmark Open, held in Grøndals Multicenter. We were happy to see many national and international competitors, and many different clubs participating.
It was great to see everyone trying their best and testing their skills at a high level, and we are already looking forward to next year. Our athletes made some great results, and earned Arte Suave the ranking of best academy. Well done to all of you and congratulations on your results!

Adults’ graduation ceremony
On Friday, March 15th, we’re hosting a graduation ceremony for adults at Arte Suave, where we will be awarding belts and stripes. Make sure to join us and see if you get promoted or to cheer on your teammates as they receive their belts.
Note: You can also be promoted if you train only in no-gi.
After the ceremony, we’ll take a group photo, and then everyone who has received new belts will roll for half an hour. The graduation ceremony begins at 5:00 PM, and everyone from Arte Suave is welcome to attend.

Kids’ and Juniors’ graduation ceremony
On Tuesday, March 21st, we’re hosting a graduation ceremony for children aged 5-8 at 4:00 PM. Following that, there will be a ceremony for children aged 9-12 and the juniors at 5:00 PM.
This means there won’t be regular classes for kids and juniors that day.
This is a special day where the kids are in focus, and we recognize and applaud their progress and efforts.
We are looking forward to see you all there!
New furniture
As you may have noticed, we have installed new shelves in the academy that you can use for your clothes and bags. Please feel welcome to use them, to avoid taking up unnecessary floor space with your belongings.
Reminder: Wear flip flops outside the mat
We want to remind all our members to please wear flip-flops when stepping outside the mat. We’ve recently experienced another outbreak of staph, and while this is not possible to avoid completely due to the nature of our sport, it’s crucial that you help maintain a high hygiene standard. Wearing flip-flops outside the mat is a part of this. Contracting a staph infection can, at best, result in being unable to train for a while, which none of us want. At worst, it can be potentially deadly if left untreated.
So please take this seriously and make sure to acquire some flip-flops. If you’re unsure where to buy them, you can get ones with our logo at our shop.

New no-gi class
We are happy to announce that starting from March 12th, we will be introducing a new Morning No-Gi Class to our schedule from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, led by Kamil Kmiotek.
Kamil just won the Polish No-Gi Nationals, as you might already know from one of our previous posts.
Make sure that you come and join the class and help to make it a success!
Pull up & muscle up workshop
Please remember to register for our PULL UP & MUSCLE UP workshop on Sunday, March 10th, from 12-1 PM in our Performance Gym.

Muay Thai Seminar with Krutoy
Arte Suave will host a muay thai seminar featuring Krutoy on April 6, 2024.
About Krutoy:
Krutoy has participated in over 174 matches before choosing to end his career after 30 years of dedicated effort as a professional fighter. After retiring from his career, he stepped into the role of a coach, leading renowned athletes to title championships and supporting some of the most prominent international fighters in their ring endeavors. In the early 1990s, Krutoy arrived in Denmark where he shared his expertise through teaching. In the following years, he was instrumental in establishing the first authentic Muay Thai clubs in Denmark. Today, Krutoy travels the world, teaching, conducting seminars, and offering private lessons. He is dedicated to refining fighters so they are ready to step into the ring.
