Last weekend Sofie and Sabine went to compete at Grappling Industries Berlin.
Sofie didn’t make it to the podium, but had some good matches, winning two of them on points. Sabine fought in the open weight division, and won her first match by submission, and her second match by points earning her the bronze medal.
Well done to both of you, and congratulations to Sabine on her medal!

Results from Copenhagen Fight Night

Last weekend Talha Ali Amer fought a kickboxing match at Copenhagen Fight Night.
Talha had a close match, but unfortunately lost on a points decision.

Graduation Ceremony

Last Friday we had another graduation ceremony at Arte Suave. Congratulations to everyone who got new stripes and belts, and thanks to everyone who stayed for the shark tank afterwards, to roll with and congratulate those with new belts.
If you missed out on this graduation, the next one will be in August, when Leo Vieira comes to teach at our yearly summer camp!

BBQ at Arte Suave

This Friday, the 28th of June we will have a BBQ event from 4 PM to 9 PM at Arte Suave.
We’re setting up a grill so we can barbecue after training, and we provide cutlery and plates for dining.
We will also provide a few free beers, but remember to bring your own food and additional drinks!
We’ll start the grill at 6 PM so people have time to shower after training. This is for all members of Arte Suave, so come by after training or after work and get to know your training partners.
And let’s hope for good weather!

Summer Camp with Leo Vieira

Don’t miss out on this years summer camp with living Jiu-Jitsu legend, Leo Vieira.
Leo is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Romero Cavalcanti. He is famous for having some of the most spectacular and crowd-pleasing matches in BJJ, with an amazing track record. He is also the co-founder of Checkmat BJJ along with his brother Rico Vieira. As a competitor, Leo has won Worlds and ADCC among other titles. As an instructor, he has developed some of the world’s best grapplers such as Marcus Almeida ‘Buchecha’, Lucas Leite, João Assis, Adam Wardzinski, Gabriel Almeida, Matheus Gabriel, and many more. Leo is the head instructor at Checkmat HQ in Long Beach, CA.

The camp will run through 8th to 11th of August, with two training passes every day:

Friday:

16.00-18.00 BJJ
