A great Copenhagen Open & Julefrokost
Another great Copenhagen Open completed
Last weekend Arte Suave held the last BJJ competition of the year, with over 200 registrations and a lot of competitors from Sweden. This was the eighth competition Arte Suave has held this year – probably the most we have ever held.
It was great to see so many from our club participate, especially a lot of kids, who had a good experience. Arte Suave also earned the trophies for best club in the gi and no-gi in the adult and masters category – well done!
A big thank you to everyone who spend their Saturday helping out from the early morning until the late afternoon. You all did a great job, making sure the competition ran smoothly and in a timely manner.
Also a special thank you to the judges – it is a sometimes thankless job, as people are quick to point out when there has been a mistake or a bad call, but seldomly recognize it the rest of the time when you are doing well and keep the athletes safe.

Thank you for a great Christmas party
Last Friday we held a wonderful Christmas party in the cafeteria in Grøndals Multicenter.
It was a really great and cheerful evening with traditional Christmas food, and fun activities put together by Marinela. We got to see Frej, Joachim and Shimon make some royal impressions in tin foil – with varying degrees of likeness to Her Majesty, Margrethe the II.
Later we had a round of “pakkeleg”, where Arte Suave’s competitive spirit truly shone through. The evening ended early as many of us had to get up next day to help out at Copenhagen Open.

Victory for Iustin at Kings of the Ring
Last weekend Iustin Tataru fought his debut kickboxing match at Kings of the Ring. After three rounds of dominating the fight, Iustin emerged victorious.
There is no time for rest though, as Iustin is already fighting again
this weekend at Upcoming Fighters, alongside Villads Heinecke and Elias
Eshgi.
Make sure to come by and support our fighters!

Opening hours during Christmas and New Year’s
During the holiday season, Grøndals Multicenter and Arte Suave will have adjusted opening hours.
- From December 24th to 26th, as well as December 31st and January 1st, there will be no regular classes.
- From December 27th to 30th, we will run a reduced schedule, but we will remain open.
For those of you who want to celebrate the holidays with some training, we will host two open mats on the following dates:
- A Christmas Day Open Mat on December 25th.
- A New Year’s Open Mat on December 31st.
