Three new European Champions & MMA Galla Results
Last weekend we had 12 competitors at the IBJJF Master Europeans in Barcelona, Spain.
We are proud of everyone who decided to challenge themselves, and have a crack at some high level international competition. A big congratulations to those who brought home some hard earned medals, and to Kamil, Kennet and Pernille, who can now call themselves European champions in their respective divisions! We now have four European champions in Arte Suave in total, also counting Joachim Christensen who won the black belt division, earlier this year.

PinResults from MMA Galla
Last weekend we also had 3 fighters in the cage in MMA Galla in Aalborg.
Oskar Lang missed weight, but got a different match. He faced an opponent one weight class above, on a short notice. After a long war, where both fighters were knocked down, Oskar unfortunately lost on a decision.
Marco Birch fought a good fight, having some close attempts at submission and also knocking his opponent down once, but still ended up losing on a split decision.
In a stand out performance of the night Abdullah Amer knocked out his opponent with a spinning back kick, in the first round, taking the victory. It was quite a devastating knockout, and we wish for a fast recovery for his opponent, who fought valiantly.

PinBBQ at Arte Suave
The 31st of May we will have a BBQ event from 4 PM to 9 PM at Arte Suave.
We’re setting up a grill so we can barbecue after training, and we provide cutlery and plates for dining.
Remember to bring your own food and drinks!
We’ll start the grill at 6 PM so people have time to shower after training. This is for all members of Arte Suave, so come by after training or after work and get to know your training partners.
And let’s hope for good weather!
PinKickboxing for women discontinued
We are sorry to inform that our kickboxing instructor in our women’s kickboxing class, Sally Mathilde Berg, is stopping from the 3rd of June.
We have not been able to find a new instructor for the class, so it will be changed to a regular kickboxing class, for advanced levels taught by Dennis Købke.
We wish Sally good luck going forward, and thank her for her contributions.
PinIBJJF World Championship 2024 coming up
Finally we are proud to announce that we have three competitors at the IBJJF World Championship running from the 29th of May to the 2nd of June, in Long Beach, USA:
William Axeltoft Tregart, Heide Truong and Aleksandra ‘Ola’ Moranda.
Let us cross our fingers and cheer for them and let’s make sure to catch their matches on Flograppling.
