The last graduation ceremony of the year

Last Friday, we hosted our final belt ceremony of the year, with over 80 participants in attendance!
We dealt out a total of 10 blue belts, three purple belts and four brown belts and a lot of stripes. Congratulations to everyone who got new stripes and belts.
Thank you to everyone who stayed to roll with and celebrate the new belts, and thank you all for a great year – see you in the next one!

Results from Upcoming Fighters

Last Saturday, Elias Eshgi, Iustin Tataru, Mikkel Frederiksen, and Villads Heinecke competed in their kickboxing matches at Upcoming Fighters in Albertslund.
Elias fought a close match but narrowly lost by judges’ decision. Iustin faced an experienced opponent and put up a strong fight but lost on points. Mikkel stepped in on just 2 hours’ notice and delivered a great performance, narrowly losing on points. Villads, however, secured a hard-fought victory, winning his match 2-1.

Well done to all of you, good luck on your next one!

Teambuilding with the elite team

Saturday was also the day we held a team-building event for the elite team. We organized this because, while our sport requires individual performance during competition, our training depends heavily on the support and collaboration of our training partners.
In order to create stronger bonds, we put the team through strategically and physically challenging activities that required cooperation and teamwork. One such activity was a game where they in teams had to steal sandbags and medicine balls from the other teams, carrying them to their home base. Another would be to perform cognitive tasks in turns, while the rest of the team would have to do physically enduring tasks, such as hanging from a bar or doing a plank.

We were happy to see a great turnout from the group, even though they didn’t quite know what was in store for them.
Overall, it was a fun and rewarding day, and we hope it helped bring the elite team closer together. A big thank you to Martin Prassé for organizing this event and to everyone who showed up!
