Danish Open, Dominance FC & Graduation
Another Danish Open well done
Last weekend we held Danish Open, the biggest jiu-jitsu tournament in Denmark. The event spanned over 2 days and had almost a thousand registrations, with a lot of international participants, especially from Sweden.
Arte Suave had 61 participants and we are proud and happy for everyone who decided to test themselves at this competition. Well done to all of you and congratulations on your results! Our club also earned the trophies for best adult and masters academy, both in the gi and no-gi – well done everyone!
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who helped out and refereed at the event. It is highly appreciated and we couldn’t do it without you!
Mack Promanee wins at Dominance FC
Last weekend Mack Promanee fought a profesional MMA bout at Airtox Dominance FC against a strong opponent. Mack won by unanimous decision, after three hard-fought rounds that electrified the room.
A big congratulations to Mack, we look forward to your next fight!
Results from Upcoming Fighters
Finally, Arte Suave had 7 fighters at Upcoming Fighters in Albertslund this weekend.
We had 3 athletes taking on MMA fights in the cage – all them winning.
4 of them fought muay thai fights, with 3 of them winning and 1 getting disqualified.

Graduation 2nd of May
Tomorrow, Friday the 2nd of May, we host a BJJ graduation ceremony for everyone in Arte Suave. Everyone is welcome – also just to watch your teammates get their new belts. In our club there is no “exam” or demonstration of technique that you have to do, in order to get your belt. Just make sure to register through our site and show up, then our black belt instructors will decide if you are eligible for your next belt.
If you are graduated to your next belt, you will be congratulated and thrown by all the black belts. Then we will take group photos. Afterwards we will have a “shark tank” for those newly graduated, as a way to congratulate them, and for them to put their jiu-jitsu on display.
