Another great Summer Camp done!
Last weekend we had our annual summer camp with Leo Vieira, which was great as always. It is a great privilege to have Leo visit us every year, and share his knowledge and experience. A big thank you to Spring Jiu-jitsu for letting us use their great facilities. Thank you everyone for a great summer camp, and see you for the one next year!
Important note: Serious staph strain on the run
We want to make everyone aware that there currently is a very serious strain of staphylococcus infection running in Denmark and the Danish jiu-jitsu community. There has been cases of people being hospitalized with staph infections, also from our academy. We urge everyone to take this matter very seriously and take precautions.
We get our mats cleaned professionally every day, and also clean the mats in-between trainings. But here are some things you can do:
- Don’t show up for training, if you have sores that look infected in any way
- Shower after every training
- Clean your training gear and clothes after every training
- We recommend that you wear spats and long sleeved rashguard for training, as this leaves your skin less exposed towards cuts that can get infected
No entry from performance gym August 23rd
Saturday, August 23rd from 10:00 to 15:00 there will be no entry or exit from Arte Suave’s performance gym, due to the Kids Tour bicycling event. Please enter and exit from the main entrance only, so you don’t disturb the kids’ bicycling or risk getting run over.
There will also be limited parking due to the event.
