A great Kids Summer Camp in Helsinge

Last weekend we held a jiu-jitsu summer camp for the kids and juniors in Helsinge, half an hour outside of Copenhagen. We were very lucky to be able to borrow the extraordinary nice facilities of Bushi Karate Helsinge, which had ample space and a nice cafeteria to hang out and eat at. Vincent, Isamu and Signe held the classes for the smaller kids, where they got to play a lot of games and make new friends. We also hired five decorated instructors to teach the juniors: Frederik-Emil Dahm, Vladimir Babovic, Kamil Kmiotek and William and Axel Tregart.
The younger kids went home in the afternoon and many of the juniors stayed and ate dinner in the cafeteria. During the evening we put up the Dominance FC and the older kids stayed the night in a nearby hostel.
After two days of training, playing and socializing, everyone’s energy was well spent, and they all went home with new experiences and acquaintances.

We look forward to have an even bigger camp next year!

Results from Dominance FC

Last weekend Arte Suave had 2 fighters on the fight card of Dominance FC: Benjamin Sesay and Rida Jawad.
Benjamin who just had his MMA debut 4 weeks prior faced a strong opponent with an advantage in size and experience. Benjamin, however, managed to knock out his opponent in the second round with a kick to the head.
Rida fought a strong Norwegian opponent in the final of a tournament, for a prize of 50.000 kroner. He unfortunately didn’t manage to get his usual offense going, and lost a split decision after three tough rounds in the cage.
Well done both of you, and congratulations to Benjamin on his victory!

Summer Graduation Ceremony

Next Friday, the 19th of June we will have our summer graduation ceremony for the adult BJJ practitioners.
The event is open for everyone, so make sure to come by and see your teammates and friends get their new stripes or belts, or maybe get one yourself! After the belts have been awarded, we will take a group photo and then those who got new belts get to roll with everyone for half an hour.
We will make reservations at Kösk for those who are interested in going out to eat together afterwards.

Kids and Juniors Graduation Ceremony

Thursday, 25th of June is the last training and graduation for our kids and juniors before going on the summer holidays.
Remember: this day is about the kids and an opportunity to celebrate their efforts.
Make sure to register your kids like you would for a regular training, and note that the schedule is moved an hour earlier.
