Summer Camp, New Belts, Great Results at DM & MMA Fight Night
August has been a busy month at Arte Suave with our annual Summer Camp, belt promotions, the Danish BJJ Championships and several fighters preparing to step into the MMA cage.
Another successful Summer Camp with Leo Vieira
From August 13th to 16th we once again welcomed Leo Vieira to Arte Suave for our annual Summer Camp.
The camp attracted participants from several Danish academies together with visitors from Germany and the Faroe Islands, creating four days of great training and a packed mat.
Thank you to Leo for once again making the trip to Copenhagen and sharing his knowledge with us, and thank you to everyone who participated.
Ten new belts
Saturday’s training was followed by our Summer Camp graduation.
This graduation was for belts only, and ten members were promoted.
Blue belts: Christian Munck Jørgense, Martin Prassé, Michal Aleksander Kozlowski and Mikey Jabina.
Purple belts: Kristian Kiel Ørom and Rida Jawad.
Brown belts: Mikołaj Panasik, Oskar Vedsted-Jakobsen, Stephan C. Krabsen and Theis Kaspersen.
Congratulations to everyone on reaching the next step in their Jiu-Jitsu journey.
Strong team performance at DM BJJ 2026
The following weekend Arte Suave had a huge representation at DM BJJ Gi & No-Gi.
There were 376 registrations at the tournament in total, with 90 Arte Suave entries.
The team finished:

MMA Fight Night
Saturday, August 29th will see three Arte Suave fighters competing in MMA across two different events.
At MMA Galla Vol. 32 in Odense, Rida Jawad faces Siyad Ozdoev in an amateur Lightweight fight at -70.3 kg.
Emmanuel Antwi will also represent Arte Suave when he faces William Jensen in an amateur Catchweight fight at 73 kg.
Several Arte Suave fighters were originally scheduled for the event, but unforeseen circumstances unfortunately reduced our representation at MMA Galla to two fights.
Meanwhile in Randers, Kalle Friis-Hansen will make his MMA debut at Airtox Dominance 7.0.
Kalle’s original opponent withdrew shortly before the event, but a replacement was found and he will now face Swedish fighter Hussein Awni in an 88 kg catchweight fight.
