Louis’ victory & Geneve Open BJJ results
Victory at Oktagon 57
Last weekend Louis Glissman fought at Oktagon 57 against a strong Polish opponent, Łukasz Siwiec.
After three rounds of domination Louis won by unanimous decision, having displayed both beautiful grappling and striking prowess.
We are proud of Louis and the whole Arte Suave team who helped him, and look forward to his next fight!
Results from Geneva Open BJJ
Last weekend we had four competitors at Geneve Open BJJ: Axel, Sabine, Vincent and William. Everyone had some good performances and we are proud to have competitors that are willing to test themselves at an international level. Well done to all of you and congratulations on your results!

Benjamin Akpuaka’s fight
Two weeks ago, Benjamin participated in another kickboxing tournament following a previous one where he was stopped in the first round. He fought a good fight but had a hard time getting started and reading his opponent, thus unfortunately losing by decision.
However, he overcame himself after his previous loss and showed up, which is the most important thing. We know Benjamin will come back stronger after this loss, and we will be there to cheer for him.
First BBQ at Arte Suave of the year
Last Friday we held the first BBQ of the year outside the gym.
There’s nothing better, than enjoying the early summer with grilled foods and a cold beer or soda after a good training session with your friends.
We hope to see many of you at the next BBQ event, which will be held the 31st of May.
Emmanuel Antwi going to German Open
Next week Emmanuel Antwi is going to fight at the ISKA kickboxing championship, German Open. It is a tournament format, with several fighters in his bracket, so Emmanuel is up for a good challenge and hopefully many matches. We wish Emmanuel the best of luck, and hope for him to return home with the championship belt!
Kids and junior classes cancelled due to Kristi himmelfartsdag
This Thursday, the 9th of May, the kids and junior classes are cancelled due to Kristi Himmelfartsdag. All other classes run as usual.
BJJ liga cancelled
We are sorry to inform that BJJ Liga that was to be held this weekend is cancelled, due to too few registrations. We are trying to find a new date, so stay put.
