Who is Leo Vieira? Introducing Leonardo Vieira, also known as Leozinho or simply Leo Vieira. Leo is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Romero Cavalcanti, renowned for his spectacular and crowd-friendly fights in BJJ, backed by an impressive track record. Alongside his brother Rico Vieira, Leo is the co-founder of Checkmat BJJ. Leo Vieira has not only achieved success as an active fighter with victories at Worlds and ADCC but has also nurtured some of the world’s best grapplers, including Marcus Almeida ‘Buchecha,’ Lucas Leite, João Assis, Adam Wardzinski, Gabriel Almeida, Matheus Gabriel, and many more. Currently, Leo serves as an instructor at Checkmat HQ in Long Beach, CA.
